Wet belt systems — also called oil-bathed timing belts — are found in many modern Ford EcoBoost, Peugeot, Citroën, Vauxhall and Fiat engines. Unlike traditional dry belts, these run submerged in engine oil. When the oil degrades or the belt stretches, the consequences can be catastrophic and expensive.

Timing Belt Replacement

The timing belt (also called a cam belt) synchronises your engine's crankshaft and camshaft. It's a wear item with a finite life — typically 60,000 to 100,000 miles or 5 years, whichever comes first. We replace the belt as a complete kit including the water pump, tensioner and idler pulleys.
